Formal Suits questions

What makes a suit formal?

Usually a darker cloth, cleaner details and sometimes a waistcoat. We will help you choose for your occasion.

Should I choose a three-piece?

A waistcoat adds formality and lets you remove the jacket and still look dressed. It suits many formal events.

Can I wear it to work afterwards?

Yes, if we choose the cloth and details with that in mind.

What if my event is soon?

Tell us the date at your first fitting and we will confirm whether we can meet it.

Do you keep my measurements?

Yes. Measurements, patterns and alteration notes are kept on file, which makes repeat orders faster and usually removes the need for multiple fittings.

I live outside Richmond. Can I still order?

Of course. Clients visit our Bridge Road showroom from all over Melbourne and beyond, and once your measurements are on file, reorders are simple wherever you are.

How many fittings will I need?

Usually two. The first (about 45 minutes) covers design, fabric and measurements. The second happens when the garment arrives, and any final adjustments are made in-house, usually within a week.

Do you look after clients from Clayton?

Yes. Clayton clients visit our Richmond showroom regularly. Our showroom is on Bridge Road in Richmond. We welcome clients from anywhere in Melbourne and beyond, and once your measurements are on file, reorders are simple wherever you live.
