Tuxedos questions
Which lapel should I choose?
Shawl and peak lapels are the classic black-tie choices; a notch lapel is more relaxed. We will show you how each looks on you.
Can I get a midnight navy tuxedo?
Yes. Midnight navy and black are both traditional, and we can show you other cloths too.
Do you make tuxedo shirts?
Yes. Dress shirts are made to your measurements as well.
Can the groom wear a tuxedo and groomsmen wear suits?
Yes. We can coordinate cloths and details so the group looks considered.
How many fittings will I need?
Usually two. The first (about 45 minutes) covers design, fabric and measurements. The second happens when the garment arrives, and any final adjustments are made in-house, usually within a week.
What if the fit is not right at the second fitting?
We do not hand your garment over until you are happy with the fit. Our in-house tailor makes the adjustments.
Do you keep my measurements?
Yes. Measurements, patterns and alteration notes are kept on file, which makes repeat orders faster and usually removes the need for multiple fittings.
Do you look after clients from South Melbourne?
Yes. South Melbourne clients visit our Richmond showroom regularly. Our showroom is on Bridge Road in Richmond. We welcome clients from anywhere in Melbourne and beyond, and once your measurements are on file, reorders are simple wherever you live.
