Alterations questions
Do you alter garments not made by you?
Yes. Our in-house tailor alters suits, jackets, trousers, shirts and overcoats.
How long do alterations take?
It depends on the work. Tell us when you need it and we will confirm at drop-off.
Will you tell me the price first?
Yes. We confirm the price before any work starts.
Can every garment be altered?
Not always. We will tell you honestly if an alteration will not give you the result you want.
Where are your fabrics from?
We hold over 20,000 fabrics, including Australian merino woven in Biella, Italy, and cloths from mills such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Dormeuil and Loro Piana.
How much will it cost?
Every order is quoted individually because the fabric, style and number of pieces change the price. Send your details and we will come back with a custom quote. The final price is confirmed after your details are checked.
How long does a custom garment take?
A suit typically takes 3 to 4 weeks to make and shirts 2 to 3 weeks. If you need it for a specific date, tell us at your first fitting and we will confirm whether the timeline works.
